To obtain a snow closing code or password, please mail or fax a request on company, school district or church letterhead to 864-240-5329.

Indicate on the request the people who are authorized to report the closing, their contact information, and indicate the number of people you employ or serve. Keep in mind we will not take closings for schools or businesses that are not in our system.

After you have been entered into the system, you will receive instructions for using our automated web-based or automated phone system to report closings and delays.

Some guidelines:

Businesses need to have 100 employees or more.

Medical practices must have more than one doctor to be listed.

Day care centers should serve more than 25 children

Please do not e-mail closings.

If you have followed the instructions and are still having trouble accessing the automated system with your code and password, call the newsroom at 240-5258 to report your closing. Have your code and password with you at home if winter weather approaches.

Codes and passwords will have SIX characters each. If you still have a four-digit password, contact Kathy Brooks at (864) 240-5252 to obtain the correct password.

WYFF will not give out codes and passwords over the phone.

Note: This process takes more than one day to turn around. Don't wait until bad weather hits to try to add your school or business to the system.

Include a contact person and two phone numbers where we can reach that person, the church office, or their home or cell phone numbers.
