Sting Focuses On Crack Trade In Spartanburg Neighborhood

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- A month-long undercover operation ended with the arrests of seven people Friday morning.The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office operation focused on the crack trade in the Lakeview Manor community. Investigators said the sting was done in response to a high volume of crime and complaints in the neighborhood.Deputies said that most of the charges are from the sale of drugs to undercover officers.
The arrests were made at 1015 Foster Grove Road and 112 O'Neal Place.The following are those arrested and their charges. All of them are from Spartanburg.Bryant O'Neal Cheeks, 31, Juan Christopher Jennings, 21, and Waymon Donald Lee, 40, are all charged with three counts of distribution crack.Eddie Moore, 23, was charged with two counts distribution of crack and trafficking crack more than 28 grams.Daveta Eugenia Smith, 21, was charged with trafficking crack more than 28 grams.Abraham Prysock, 60, and Jurrell Keith Thompson, 33, were both charged with two counts of distribution of crack.
