Father, Son Die In Laurens Co. House Fire

Boy, 5, Celebrated Birthday On Tuesday

A father and son died in an early-morning house fire in Laurens County on Saturday.

The home is in the 800 block of South Harper Street.

A county coroner said 29-year-old Nicholas Johnson and 5-year-old Nicholas Hill died of smoke inhalation.

Family members said the 5-year-old had just celebrated his birthday on Tuesday.
