2 School Buses Collide; 28 Injured

Two school buses collided in West Columbia Friday, injuring two drivers and 26 students.

Lexington School District 2 officials said that the injured were taken to hospitals and doctor's offices for treatment for back and neck strains or removal of glass. None of the injuries were serious.

School officials said that the collision happened around 8 a.m. Friday on state Highway 302. One bus was empty, while the other had 46 high school students on board.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
