As part our commitment to our viewers, WYFF 4 is always looking for opportunities to be involved in the communities we serve. Below you'll find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about our community activities. If you don't find what you're seeking, feel free to e-mail us.

Coverage Opportunities

WYFF News 4 encourages newsmakers and viewers to provide us with information that could be included in our daily newscasts. To request coverage, send us a written news release by mail or e-mail at least five days before the event.

You may want to follow up your release with a telephone call to the WYFF News 4 assignment editor. Since breaking local news can play havoc with schedules, the news department cannot make a definite commitment to cover an event.

WYFF News 4 Talent Appearances

Requests for appearances by WYFF News 4 on-air talent must be made in writing and received two months before the event. Please include: The name of the event, date, time, location and size of the group. When applicable, include the subject matter of the event or ceremony, the age of the participants and the video equipment available.

Always provide a contact name, a telephone number and an e-mail address when available. No fee is involved for local talent appearances. We will consider each and every request, but because of the amount of requests received, the station cannot always provide this service.

John On The Road Appearances

Every week, WYFF News 4 Chief Meteorologist John Cessarich meets viewers firsthand as he takes his weather report "on the road" during the 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts. If you would like for John to consider attending your function, please send your request in writing four weeks in advance of the event.

Please provide the date, location, purpose, size of group, age of participants, subject matter, contact name, phone number, address and e-mail address if available.
